Language Arts

The sound this week is the blend - /st/ at the end of nest or the beginning of stamp.
Emphasize the /st/ sound often through the day.  Have your child repeat the sound with you.

Put up your sound wall poster.

Handwriting Assignments:

Day 1:  Practice writing the letter "s" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 2:  Practice writing the letter "t" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 3:  Practice writing the blend "st" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 4:  Practice writing the word "stamp" one or two times.

Day 5:  Practice writing any of the other theme words one or two times.

Stamp Collecting for Kids

Teaching With Stamps

Use rubber stamps to decorate a card, wrapping paper, or any piece of paper.  Be creative!

Write a letter to a friend or family member, put a stamp on the envelope and mail it.
