Handwriting Assignments:
Day 1: Practice writing the letter "t" on one line of handwriting paper.
Day 2: Practice writing the letter "h" on one line of handwriting paper.
Day 3: Practice writing the consonant team "th" on one line of handwriting paper.
Day 4: Practice writing the word "thunder" one or two times.
Day 5: Practice
writing any of the other theme words one or two times.
Activities and/or Art Projects
Make some noise - to create the sound of thunder you could hit two pot lids together, bang a spoon on a pot, or use real cymbols or drum.
Teach your child safety skills in the event of a thunderstorm. Also see the coloring book Billy, Maria and the Thunderstorm.
Draw a picture of a thunderstorm.
Keep a record through the summer of how many thunderstorms are in your area.
